New Games on Steam: Late April

This week of New Games on Steam is particularly strong. We have complex space puzzles, awesome RPG, an atmospheric noir/cyberpunk exploration, mesmerizing adventure, and ridiculous shooter.

Shapik: The Moon Quest

To start off, we have an interesting adventure game. Shapik is set on a mesmerizing and mysterious planet, sometime after a nuclear war. Interestingly, the whole story is told by using vivid imagery, instead of a text. The gameplay is accompanied by a serene score which, coupled with easy puzzles, makes for a great casual game.

Trials of Mana

Trials of Mana is a long-awaited RPG from Square Enix. Specifically, this is a remake of the last fame from Mana series, released on SNES. Although it has the same story, it's completely rebuilt from the grounds up, just like Final Fantasy 7. The anime graphic-style is breathtaking, and the gameplay seems really well done. There are 6 playable characters, but you can select only 3. Who you play with will affect the story, so you will need to go through the game multiple times to unlock all of your characters' destinies.

Square Enix continues to revive great RPGs(Steam)

ITTA

Here we have an intense bullet-hell title that will test your coordination. You play as Itta, a girl who wakes up next to her dead family. With the help of a family cat, she decides to confront the powerful beings responsible. Itta features nice pixel art, huge bosses, and a ton of weapons that will affect your gameplay. If you are into fast-paced shooters, this one is a keeper.

Filament

Filament combines science-fiction elements with challenging puzzles. You play as an unnamed hero who boards on the Alabaster to investigate what happened with the missing crew. You do so by finishing straightforward yet complex puzzles, which will unlock parts of the ship that you can investigate. The Filament is a really addictive puzzle game that gets complicated rather quickly and is hard to put down.

Cloudpunk

Cloudpunk is a noir story set in a futuristic world that resembles Blade Runner and The 5th element. You play as Rania, a new driver for a questionable delivery company called Cloudpunk. Your job is to deliver items as quickly as you can, no questions asked. But, not everything goes according to plan… This is mainly an exploration game that features an engaging story and beautiful city of Nivalis. You will meet a multitude of characters that will slowly bring the world to light, from scummy humans to sophisticated androids. Just take a look here.
