There was talks about whether or not Netflix would actually release video games and it did not take long to find out the truth. The streaming service is releasing a video game called Eden Unearthed on App Lab for Oculus Quest. Now, it is time for the confusing part. Netflix is the developer and publisher of the title on App Lab, but it has an April 22 release. The game is already available on the App Lab and there is some concern if the April 22 release is an admin error or if the app has been unlisted ever since then.

Can VR Games Cause Cancer?:

I will not directly answer whether or not VR (virtual reality) games can cause cancer, but for years, this issue has been debated. Why is this issue important? While others disagree with the information, the Oculus Quest was said to contain carbon black. Brendan Iribe (the CEO of Oculus VR) said in an interview “The development kits didn’t have the magic of Carbon applied to them. The development kits were designed by engineers. I am pretty confident that whatever Carbon comes up with is going to be a lot more consumer friendly and visually friendly.”

If you simply look on Reddit, you’ll notice a picture with a warning sign, covering how the product can cause cancer. Sometimes, people use Photoshop for attention, but this specific situation, is for you to decide.

For years, anything that is an electronic device or can simply cause radiation, kept too close to your skin for a long period of time, has been said to cause cancer. That includes televisions, cell phones, microwaves, computers, etc.

An owner of a top selling product would not be eager to inform everyone that it can cause harm, if it puts food on the table. The owner of Oculus could risk being sued, if he was to reveal it causes cancer.

The chemical acrylamide placed in foods like potato chips, can leave you at a higher risk of cancer. That information would not likely prevent you from snacking on potato chips. In professional wrestling, (like WWE) most of us know that the chairman of the company (Vince McMahon, would not just say certain wrestlers use steroids, were abused, and/or abused others. Store owners would not just admit that GMO (genetically modified organisms) are unhealthy and that the riddance of naturally grown foods, is beneficial. Are you still excited to live in virtual reality?
