Need for Speed Unbound Announced

Criterion Games and Electronic Arts have finally lifted the veil on Need for Speed Unbound, one of 2022's worst-kept secrets.

The next leg of the Need for Speed saga is about to come to Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. Announced today by Criterion Games, Need for Speed Unbound will launch on both next-gen consoles and PC via the Epic Games Store, Origin, Steam, and the EA Store on December 2, 2022. So, what can we expect from this upcoming venture?

“Step into the world of Lakeshore City when a robbery at a family auto-shop tears two friends apart and marks the rise from rookie to top racer on a journey to win the ultimate street race and reclaim the priceless car that was stolen,” the blurb reads. “To get to the top, risks must be taken. Choose how and when to put it all on the line, pulling huge drifts on the street, outdriving the cops, or placing side bets with your own earnings against rival racers. But remember, the faster you go, the more heated the chase is… Think smart, take bold decisions and run the streets of Lakeshore.”

Like before, players will have the opportunity to tweak a wide selection of high-powered vehicles, along with a generous selection of cosmetics and personalized decals. And this is just the tip of the iceberg, with a whole lot more to follow.
