MOUZ defeat G2 2-0 at ESL Pro League Season 15 Group A Best of 3

For the second day of ESL Pro League, we had two matches – Ninjas in Pajamas vs. Fnatic and G2 Esports vs. MOUZ. NiP swept Fnatic and won with a score of 16-6 and 16-5. The audience was then excited for G2 vs. MOUZ. Earlier, G2 Esports secured a sweeping victory against LFO.

MOUZ swept Nuke with a calculated victory

For the first map, MOUZ picked Nuke. G2 had a rather shaky start with MOUZ pretty much taking them down for the first three rounds. Both teams were one-upping each other. By the 16th round, the score stood at 8-8. Things escalated for MOUZ from round 22 when G2 was down to pistols. NBK- took down 3 of G2's players and secured the round.

After a tiring marathon of 29 rounds, MOUZ emerged triumphant with a score of 16-12. There was some stellar gunplay by MOUZ's Nathan “NBK-” Schmitt and Aurimas “Bymas” Pipiras. On the other side, G2's Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov and Nemanja “huNter-” Kovač also put on a great show.

G2 tied Mirage and went into overtime

G2 picked Mirage for the second map and had a good start. They played the T side quite well with m0nesy and huNter taking the most kills. However, MOUZ soon took over and Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás went on a killing spree. Notably, MOUZ thrived on the T side yet again. This half was as intense as the first one.

Bymas' knife skills and torzsi's gunplay, MOUZ managed to step ahead of G2 each time. G2's Audric “JaCkz” Jug pulled a nice save in round 28 with 3 kills. In the following round, François “⁠AMANEK⁠” Delaunay got lucky with a smoke grenade and took 3 easy kills. Round 30 of Mirage was especially action-packed and G2 managed to defuse the bomb and the game went into overtime.

The entire game was rather calculated. However, the overtime was all heated. torzsi was up against G2's 4 players and he took them all down with his AWP. MOUZ closed overtime at 19-17 and won the match.

Not so surprisingly, torzsi ended up with the most kills and the highest K/D of +15. Bymas followed closely behind with +14 K/D. NBK- shone through the game with an ADR of 101.2.
