Switch Games June

The Nintendo Switch doesn't see nearly as many releases month-to-month as PC, Xbox and PlayStation consoles. Despite that most often being the case, it's not for June 2023. This month is loaded with new Switch releases, some even exclusive to the portable gaming system. As a result, there are a lot of new Switch games to look forward to. And if you're not sure where to start, we've got you covered with the most anticipated Switch games coming out in June 2023. So, read on to find out what they are.

5. Tiny Thor

Tiny Thor - Official Gameplay Trailer

They say not to judge a book by its cover, but Tiny Thor is exactly what you suspect it to be – a game where you play as a Tiny version of Thor. Exclusive to Switch and PC, Tiny Thor is a 16-bit graphic 2D retro Platformer where you get to summon the power of Mjolnir and travel to the realm of Asgard. Leading your Norse god through obstacle-filled levels that have no shortage of enemies to repel. But for Tiny Thor, it's all in a day's work.

Starting as a relatively simple platformer, Tiny Thor unfolds the deeper you get, opening more abilities for the son of Odin and his hammer. Which you'll definitely need to master because the game is chock-full of exhilarating boss battles that will put our mighty hero to the test to see if he's truly deserving of being a god. Nonetheless, Tiny Thor appears to be one of the Switch games in June that gamers are excited to get their hands on, as its original idea looks to be a lot of fun.

4. Bleak Sword DX

Bleak Sword DX - Official Release Date Announcement Trailer

Bleak Sword DX, one of the most anticipated Switch games in June, was originally an iOS game that was reimagined for Switch and PC. In this 8-bit action roguelike hack and slash, you assume control of our powerful pixelated protagonist and must fight your way through “cursed diorama battlefields” using fierce weaponry and powerful magic. Across 12 deeply atmospheric chapters, you must try to break the curse of the Bleak Sword by defeating all enemies in your path.

But the fun doesn't stop after the story as Bleak Sword DX offers tons of ways to play. Such as the Boss Run gauntlet, where you face all the game bosses, back to back, with only one bar of health. Doesn't that sound like fun? If that's not quite to your taste, there's also Arena and a brand new campaign randomizer mode that drops you into a remixed version of the story. Overall, Bleak Sword DX has a captivating visual style and should challenge gamers with its skilled and fast-paced 8-bit action gameplay.

3. Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life

Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life - Official Welcome to Forgotten Valley Trailer

Can we ever have enough farming sims? The answer to that question is emphatically no. Especially not with Harvest Moon, one of the longest-running RPG farming sims to date, which prompted a name change to “Story of the Seasons” back in 2014. And the newest addition to the series, Story of the Seasons: A Wonderful Life is coming in as one of the most anticipated Switch games in June 2023.

In this installment, you have the freedom to live your life as you see fit, tending to your crops and livestock while making new friends in the peaceful town of Forgotten Valley. However, because it also serves as an RPG, you can find true love, settle down with your loved one, and start a family. Overall, this reimagined version of Story of the Seasons: A Wonderful Life is taking the game to new heights, with new visuals, marriage candidates, animals, and even seasonal events.

With this power, you must jump back in time to prevent crimes that should never have occurred in the first place. Taking you on a multi-era journey, investigating crimes through time and evolving maps. But, could there be something more to the mystery? Could these incidents be linked? Is someone attempting to disrupt time? There's only one way to find out what's going on, and you have to get to the bottom of it.

Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE - Introduction Trailer - Nintendo Switch

Last on our list of the most anticipated Switch games in June 2023 is Master Detective Archives: Rain Code. This brand-new Switch exclusive is a dark fantasy detective game where you play as an amnesiac detective-in-training, Yuma. However, you're also accompanied by Shinigami, a spirit that's haunting him. Both Yuma and Shinigami work as Master Detectives for the World Detective Organization and must work together to solve cases.

The twist is that thanks to our spirited friend Shinigami, you have a supernatural ability known as Forensic Forte, which allows you to gather clues that an ordinary person would not be able to. You can impersonate different body types and voices, detect heartbeats and whispers, and even see past crime scenes. Whatever it takes to get to the bottom of and bring down the conglomerate, Amaterasu Corporation, which is, of course, up to no good.
