Machine Games’ Upcoming Indiana Jones Is Likely Coming To Xbox Platforms

Updated on

A notable leaker, Nick “Shpeshal Nick” Baker, shared in the past that Machine Games' Indiana Jones project will head exclusively to Microsoft’s Xbox platforms. Baker already has perfect credibility relating to video game leaks and rumors. If you notice a blemish in one of his video game rumors, maybe you can point it out. He correctly predicted a lineup of PlayStation Plus games in the past, the reveal of God of War: Ragnarok during Sony's latest PlayStation press conference, as well as the reveal and launch of Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut. He even discussed the possibilities of Sky Cooper 5 being in active development.

From the brief Indiana Jones teaser trailer, there are hints provided for the game, with an original story. There is little known about the story, as the developers are still in the early stages of development. Pay close attention to the trailer and you will notice a map of the Vatican City and the year 1937, which suggests a possible setting for the game.

Indiana Jones Bethesda Game - Official Teaser

One thing for sure, we will see a passport, a hat, and a whip. 1937 is the timeline between the events of Raiders of the Lost Ark and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Benito Mussolini is expected to be mentioned at least once in the game.

Based on some notes from the official trailer, there may be links to the Vatican and the US government. The books in the trailer are Forbidden Stones, Ancient Circles, and Myths That Made. With a new Indiana Jones movie currently in production (arriving on July 29, 2022), Bethesda tying in the movie launch hype, may not be their goal.

Another thing to add is that in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games, MachineGamesIndians Jones, will be executive produced by Todd Howard. You do not have to take my word for it. Bethesda shared a message in the past on Twitter, which reads, “A new Indiana Jones game with an original story is in development from our studio, @MachineGames, and will be executive produced by Todd Howard, in collaboration with @LucasfilmGames. It'll be some time before we have more to reveal, but we’re very excited to share today’s news!”
