Is The Revised PS5 Worse Than The Original

Is it true that the new PS5 (PlayStation 5) could be worse than the original PS5? Since PS5’s are still proven to be found on taken off of restock, it is still rather complex on how many people can appreciate the updated platform. Sony is planning to start a production on a PS5 hardware redesign (featuring a new, semi-customized, 6nm CPU), from AMD in 2022. Also, rumor has it that the PS5 could remain on short supply until 2023, due to chip shortages.

As we all know, the PS5 was released back in November 2020 and since it is rare for many people to have the latest platform, they’re intentionally selling it for enormous amounts of money and who knows what else.

The New PS5 is Worse 😬

The original PS5 offers faster load times and an innovative, gorgeous 4k/120 gameplay and 8k/60 support, a clean interface, impressive backwards compatibility, and a new, revolutionary (DualSense) controller. Arguably, to some people, the controller may feel too big.

About The Revised PS5:

Austin Evans (a tech YouTuber) obtained a revised PS5 model that went on sale in Japan and Australia this month. The difference is that the new console has an updated fan design and minor changes to the Wi-Fi antennas (possibly matching plans for a wireless communication module). The revised console weighs 300g less than the original model.

Why is the revised PS5 lighter than the original PS5? Is it less quality than the original PS5? Well, there has to be minor quality differences. The audio on the original PS5 is more effective than the revised one (but it is a small difference) and the smaller heat sink was developed to save money. Just imagine the longevity of what the revised PS5 gameplay will be like and if it will overheat. Even the original PS5 unsurprisingly has problems with overheating. Many of us still lack the original PS5 and managed to dodge the PS4, but somehow, the revised PS5 is teasing us.

Is the revised PS5 worse than the original PS5? To answer that question, it is slightly worse, but if you manage to encounter a problem with overheating, then your answer may be “Yes.” On the bright side, maybe you will not play the revised version long enough to notice the difference.
