  • Finding new Pokémon

Much like a Trainer would, you have to actively go out and find new Pokémon in your area. In the bottom right of your screen is a “Nearby” menu, which will show all the Pokémon that are closest to you. There will be snapshots of where to go, but you can also tap on the footprints under the Pokémon to direct you. It's best to always check this so you don't miss out on any new Pokémon, even some that may have newly spawned in your area.

  • Exhaust Pokéstops

If you want to level up fast, making the most of Pokéstops is one of the best ways to do so. Pokéstops appear as blue markers and are typically found at notable places like art structures or monuments. When close enough you can swipe or tap on them to collect items like potions, Poke Balls, Eggs, and more. The Pokéstops reset every five minutes, so best abuse them as much as you can.

  • Always have Eggs Incubating

One of the best ways to get strong Pokémon is from eggs, which you get at Pokéstops. You'll need an incubator to hatch them, which you can get by leveling, buying, or at Pokéstops. Yes, Pokéstops are that crucial! Incubators have limited three-time use, except for the Infinite one everyone gets at the start. You can also get Super Incubators which reduce the walking time needed.

Eggs come in the form of 2km, 5km, 7km, 10km, and 12km, which you need to walk off in order to hatch. You always want to be on top of this because not only doe's it grant you new Pokémon, but you have a chance of birthing a rare one, or an extremely rare one. Letting you maximize just how strong it is in final form.
