Hogwarts Legacy Could Face Second Delay

Doubts about Hogwarts Legacy releasing later this year are beginning to surface, causing a whirlwind stir between fans and reputable insiders.

It was only two months ago Warner Bros. shared a lengthy fifteen minute gameplay reveal for the highly anticipated Hogwarts Legacy. Since then, fans have been led to believe that the open world game will launch in Q4 2022. But according to a few popular insiders, many of whom have shed light on the game since its inception, the wizarding world could very well face another delay.

Originally slated for a 2021 release on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5, the beloved Potter world was in line to becoming the be all, end all Potter game. But after serious consideration, Warner Bros. made the call to delay it until late 2022. And now, a few sources are suggesting that the game could face a second delay, giving it a possible 2023 launch.

Take it with a grain of salt…

Of course, while Warner Bros. was adamant that Hogwarts Legacy was going to release in 2022, a certain insider, known by AccountNGT, has shared a comment which raises a few concerns about the whole shebang.

Previously, the insider was confident that the game would release in 2022. But, as time went on and an official release date was never put in place, doubts soon started to unravel. Now, the insider has commented on the situation, saying “at this point a delay to 2023 wouldn't even surprise me.” So, clearly something has rocked the apple cart. The question is, what, how, and why?

As with any comment made on Twitter, you can take it with a grain of salt. Plus, with no comment from Warner Bros., it's hard to say. But evidently, people aren't happy with the lack of information on Hogwarts Legacy. And as they say—no news is, more often than not, bad news.

So, what's your take? Do you think there'll be a further delay? What are you expecting to see from Warner Bros. over the next few months? Let us know over on our socials here or down in the comments below.
