Halo Infinite campaign co-op

One of the joys of the original Halo's was that the campaign supported a co-op adventure. Halo Infinite didn't release with campaign co-op, but 343 industries have been working to implement it and it may come sooner than you think.

Originally, the co-op campaign was and still is expected to come as an update at some point in August, 2022. However, news today from Halo's Twitter show's that you might be able to get your hands on it a month earlier.

343 Industries announced today that they will be running a test pilot of the co-op campaign in July. The catch is that only select members of the Halo Insider program will be able to give it a spin. That's why if you're not a member yet, you might want to look into becoming one here. It's no guarantee that you'll be a part of the test pilot, but it's definitely worth the shot.

Halo Infinite Campaign Co-op Future Plans

As it stands right now, Halo Infinite is on track to release its online campaign co-op in late August 2022. However, split-screen is still in development and isn't expected until sometime in November. The 343 industries update blog on Halo Infinite appears to reflect the same timeline for both features as well. Although the company has been inconsistent with its updates, the news for the test pilot in July is relieving that everything is on track.

Another exciting feature that was delayed is Forge. Forge was initially launched alongside Halo 3 as a level editor that allows users to create and share their own map styles and game variants. There's been no news on a further delay, which means Forge is still set for open beta to kick off in September 2022.

Then lastly is Halo Infinite Season 3, which is set for a November 8 launch. Season 2 launched back in early May and has been an up and down adventure so far. But with a lineup of features coming down the pipe, Halo Infinite appears to have a lot of new content to look forward to.
