Gotham Knights' developer, WB Games Montreal, and Warner Bros. Games, have announced a new release date for the game. The game will now launch earlier than expected. In addition, the developer released a new trailer showcasing the game’s villains.

WB Games Montreal and Warner Bros. Games revealed the details at Gamescom's Opening Night Live. The new trailer gives us a taste of the storyline and the team's creative perspective on Gotham City. At the beginning of the trailer, Batgirl visits Harley Quinn while a voiceover recounts the current situation in Gotham City. From the trailer, we could say life is good in a nutshell. Some of Batman's most notorious villains may be gone, but Bruce Wayne's absence still seems to be wreaking havoc.

The trailer introduces a few key villains, including Harley Quinn, Clayface, Mr. Freeze, and the Court of Owls. Only the first two are completely unexpected, as this is the first time the developers are making them public. We were somehow all aware of the other two. Additionally, it appears that Renee Montoya will join forces with Batman's previous allies to battle against them.

In Gotham Knights, set in the Batman universe, the four Bat-Family siblings take on the Court of Owls, a multigenerational plot involving Gotham's most prominent families. The campaign will allow two players to play together in cooperative multiplayer.

Gotham Knights will be released on October 21, 2022. The date is four days earlier than the expected date. The developers had initially set the game for release on October 25, 2022. The open-world RPG for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and P.C. It is important to note that the game will not be available on Xbox One or PlayStation 4. Pre-orders are ongoing, with prices ranging from $69.99 to $299.99.
