This year's Google I/O event was quite happening. The tech giant announced Google Pixel 6a, teased Pixel 7 and 7 Pro, unveiled a Pixel Smartwatch, and also a Pixel Tablet.

For ages, there were some rumors about a Pixel Smartwatch floating on the internet. As it turned out, the rumors were more or less accurate as the tech giant unveiled a new smartwatch. Interestingly, back in 2016, Google was about to launch a smartwatch. However, the watch was later canceled.

And now, this is the very first smartwatch by Google, and they have built it from the scratch. Pixel Smartwatch sports a circular display topped with glass. The watch will come with Fitbit integration.

Pixel Watch will track your fitness activities. Your fitness goals will be tracked along with all the stats and progress. Apart from this, the watch will also monitor your heart rate and sleep. Users will get an updated Wear OS 3 with new User Interface and smarter notifications.

Further, users can also integrate various Google apps like Maps, Wallet, and others. Nothing specific has been revealed about the price of the watch yet, but Google commented that it would be a “premium-priced product.”

As far as compatibility is concerned, Pixel Watch will need a smartphone running Android 8.0 or above and a Google account. This points towards the fact that the watch would not be compatible with iPhones.

Along with the phones and the watch, Google also revealed that it has been working on a Pixel Tablet. The tablet will feature the latest Tensor chip and will be a companion to the Pixel phones.

The smartwatch along with Pixel 7 and 7 Pro will be fully unveiled later this year in the fall. Meanwhile, the Pixel Tablet will be released next year, that is, 2023. It would be interesting to see how the Pixel Tablet will accompany the Pixel phones.
