The show will officially launch on Wednesday, August 23, in the city of Cologne, Germany.  

As tradition dictates, the event will commence with a livestream event featuring captivating video game announcements and updates. 

Hosting this virtual gala will be none other than the renowned presenter of Summer Game Fest and The Game Awards, Geoff Keighley. With his signature flair, Keighley is set to unveil an array of new and confirmed game titles during this exciting showcase. 

The official highlights will be exclusive previews of the survival horror masterpiece Alan Wake 2, courtesy of Remedy Entertainment, and the thrilling action role-playing venture Black Myth: Wukong, from Game Science. 

In addition, we will get a deeper dive into Fort Solis, the captivating sci-fi saga featured during last year's Summer Game Fest. The virtual stage won't just be about trailers and gameplay reveals. 

Enthusiasts can also anticipate engaging in conversations with distinguished developers and creators.

When is Gamescom 2023 Opening Night Live?

The Opening Night Live event will kick off on Tuesday, August 22, at 2 p.m. EDT/11 a.m. PDT/7 p.m. BST/8 p.m. CEST. So, remember to adjust your schedules according to your respective time zones to ensure you don't miss a moment of this gaming extravaganza.

Where can I watch Opening Night Live?

You can stream the show live on The Game Awards’ YouTube and Twitch channels. The show organizers have not revealed how long Gamescom ONL 2023 will be. Previously the show ran for about two hours.
