Lawless Lands

To start, we have a medieval retro RPG reminiscent of the SNES Final Fantasy games. You play as a hero whose goal is to bring back the order to the kingdom of Crossia. This simple premise is followed by an epic 70 hours campaign that is constantly updated. Lawless Lands is also filled with random situational events and multiple choices to make sure that each playthrough features unique moments. The game can easily overwhelm you with the number of skills, spells, and gear to choose from and its difficulty. However, if you are up to the challenge, you will discover a deeply rewarding classic RPG.

Next, we have a lighthearted physics sim perfect for parties. Boomerang Fu drops you in the role of your favorite snack and lets you compete with up to 5 friends. The combat is absolutely chaotic, and aside from deadly boomerang, you will use power-ups like telekinesis, disguises, and more. Boomerang Fu is very easy to learn but hard to master. There are 30+ arenas in which you can test your skills, and all of them feature unique traps. If you ever wanted to kick ass as avocado, bread, or donut, now it's your chance.

Kill It With Fire

Spiders have been pestering us for thousands of years, and now the time has finally come to fight back. Kill It With Fire pulls no punches and lets you use a ridiculous array of weapons, ranging from shurikens to bazookas, to destroy these hairy critters. Sure, you will obliterate houses, offices, and barnyards in the process, but freedom has a price goddammit. If you are a lover of chaos and think Spider-Man is overrated, Kill It With Fire will easily satisfy all your destructive urges. There are also a lot of hidden challenges that will make this game last a while.

Eastern Exorcist

Eastern Exorcist is an intense and challenging 2D action RPG. Set in an ancient Eastern country, you play as a skilled exorcist whose job is to overturn a demon infestation. The game features beautiful hand-drawn scenes that really add up to its dark atmosphere. Furthermore,  combat is done very well, and although mechanics is challenging it is also very rewarding. In terms of difficulty and boss design, it can be compared to the infamous Dark Souls trilogy. If you are not put off by the fact that it's 2D, Eastern Exorcist will take you for a wild ride. It's easily one of the most promising new games on Steam.

Chess Knights: Viking Lands

Chess Knights is a refreshingly original puzzle game that utilizes chess mechanics. In it, you will play as Knights to rescue your captured Kings and Queens from the hands of dirty Vikings. Every piece moves as usual, but 40+ hand-crafted levels give it a unique, and increasingly complex, spin. Aside from challenging puzzles, Chess Knights is also visually mesmerizing and has a good storyline.
