Games on Steam is a weekly installment that tackles the latest and greatest Indie games from this popular platform. Today, we talk about ambitious balls, what bothers Lucy, the best way to blow up a gang of worms, and more.
From the Shadows
To start, we have a charming co-op platformer called From the Shadows. In it, you will explore the depths of a mansion by solving puzzles based on an interesting light/shadow dynamic. Although a bit short, From the Shadows is a pretty cool casual game that will entertain you for an evening or two.
Ball at Work
Ball at Work is a really fun puzzle platformer. It follows the adventure of a ball that bounces around the messy office, which often results in hilarious chain reactions. The levels are carefully crafted, and each of them introduces a new mechanic, so the game remains fresh till the end. All in all, Ball at Work is a short and sweet game, perfect for the players that are intrigued by the domino effect.
Children of Silentown: Prologue
Next, we have a dark point-and-click adventure made by Elf Games. Children of Silentown follows Lucy, a girl who grew up in a village surrounded by monsters. She got tired of people disappearing and decided to investigate the cases on her own. The game mixes elements of horror with humor, and the story so far looks interesting. The prologue ticks all the right boxes, so we can’t wait for the full version.
One of the coolest tactical games is back, this time in a battle royale edition! Worms Rumble is also the first to introduce real-time combat in the series, which works really well. Things are bound to get chaotic, as you will battle it out against 30+ cross-platform players. The game also contains fans favorite weapons, like the hallelujah bomb and hilarious Sheep launcher, along with numerous new weapons. Team17 took some risk with this one, and, so far, it was well worth it.
Tainted Grail: Conquest
Lastly, we have a cool RPG and deck-building hybrid called Tainted Grail. The game is set on the cursed island of Avalon, where you will fight waves of the undead. Fighting mechanics is fairly complex, as there are dozens of unique combos you can get by combining items, runestones, and skills. If you are a fan of dark fantasy and games like Slay the Spire, Tainted Grail will surely be up your alley.
Previous edition of Games on Steam had a great selection of games. Don’t miss them.
