g2 win against lfo: esl pro league season 15

G2 Esports kicked off season 15 of ESL Pro League with a roaring victory against Looking For Org. The Group A opening match concluded with a score of 2-0.

To begin with, the pairing might look lopsided as G2 has way more experience than the relatively new org-less squad LFO. But things weren't looking too great for G2 Esports before the match.

G2's in-game leader, Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen was tested COVID-19 positive. As a result, G2 had to add François “AMANEK” Delaunay, the stand-in to the team. The pressure was high since G2 Esports didn't exactly deliver a great performance in the last season.

Initially, the game was in LFO's favor. The Australian team went on to win the pistol round and two more rounds after that. However, G2 on the CT side, piled up enough and went in for a full-buy. Loaded with weapons, G2 flipped the tables and emerged triumphant on Dust II with a score of 16-5.

The game progressed to the Inferno map, and nobody expected LFO to put on a powerful performance. The T side put on their best fight and evened out the score at one point. However, G2's Nikola “NiKo” Kovač put on a spectacular show and pretty much foiled LFO's defense. In the end, the score stood at 16-12.

Along with NiKo, Nemanja “huNter-” Kovač and Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov also stole the show with their amazing performances. Together, they paved the way for G2 Esports' victory for this season's opener.

ESL Pro League Season 15, one of the biggest CS: GO tournaments, has just started with Group A's opening match. Later today, Entropiq vs. MOUZ and Ninjas in Pajamas vs. Fnatic are scheduled. Tomorrow, that is on March 10, G2 Esports and Looking For Org will play against MOUZ and Fnatic.
