Tournament Details

The Practice Server has partnered up with Cure Rare Disease (CRD) to create a big event for the community. CRD’s mission is to provide therapeutics for individuals that suffer from diseases that have no treatments or cures. (more info below)

To assist in promoting this mission, we are inviting everyone in the community to play our tournament — this includes casuals, opens, and professional players. Invitees and sign-ups will have a chance to be invited and featured on our main broadcast day and take a chance at winning the $20,000 cash prize.

We also plan to fundraise through sponsorships & donations in lead up to the event. The goal is to drive awareness and of course do good with our platform. As a community we look forward to seeing your support during tournament day.

Founder, Rich Horgan’s younger brother, Terry, has been battling DMD for more than two decades, and the standard “one-size-fits-all” approach to drug development has failed him, their family, and thousands of others who have been left behind with no hope for the future—until now. While putting himself through business school, Horgan became determined to apply his developing entrepreneurial sensibilities to help Terry and millions of others—and built Cure Rare Disease from the ground up.

Today, he leads an ecosystem composed of world-class researchers, geneticists, clinicians, and industry partners who are using revolutionary CRISPR gene-editing technology to build life-saving therapeutics that are custom to each patient they are made to treat. Terry is the first individual planned for clinical trial pending FDA approval in 2021, with a subsequent patient cohort advancing from an earlier stage, in parallel, with treatment to follow.
