To assist in promoting this mission, we are inviting everyone in the community to play our tournament — this includes casuals, opens, and professional players. MORE ON CURE RARE DISEASE:
Founder, Rich Horgan’s younger brother, Terry, has been battling DMD for more than two decades, and the standard “one-size-fits-all” approach to drug development has failed him, their family, and thousands of others who have been left behind with no hope for the future—until now. While putting himself through business school, Horgan became determined to apply his developing entrepreneurial sensibilities to help Terry and millions of others—and built Cure Rare Disease from the ground up.
Today, he leads an ecosystem composed of world-class researchers, geneticists, clinicians, and industry partners who are using revolutionary CRISPR gene-editing technology to build life-saving therapeutics that are custom to each patient they are made to treat. Terry is the first individual planned for clinical trial pending FDA approval in 2021, with a subsequent patient cohort advancing from an earlier stage, in parallel, with treatment to follow.
