Five Nights at Freddy’s Is Coming to Xbox Later This Year

Updated on

Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach will be shedding its PlayStation exclusivity later this year, making way for an eventual Xbox One and Series X release by December.

Overheard during the Amazon Prime Day talk, the latest entry to the universally acclaimed survival horror series, Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach, will be kicking its PlayStation exclusivity and coming to Xbox consoles later this year. The actual release date, although believed to be a placeholder, is December 31, 2022. According to the retail giant, Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach will launch on both Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

Of course, Xbox fans felt a little short-changed after spotting the ninth entry releasing on PlayStation 4 and 5 a little ways back, more so because of the fact that its prequel, Help Wanted, released on every platform. Security Breach, however, went on to plant roots in Sony's waters, which is where it stuck for the best part of a year.

“Play as Gregory, a young boy who’s been trapped overnight inside of Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex,” the official game description reads. “With the help of Freddy himself, Gregory must uncover the secrets of the Pizzaplex, learn the truth, and survive until dawn.”

When will Security Breach release on Xbox?

Again, with a current release date of December 31, 2022, it's easy to assume that this is nothing more than a placeholder. Its actual release window, though, is likely to be sooner than later. Or at least, it'll be before the end of the year, anyway. Whatever the case, we'll be sure to update you should any new updates come our way.
