Fast & Furious Crossroads is Being Removed from Stores

Updated on

Point us in the direction of someone who genuinely enjoyed Fast & Furious Crossroads, and we'll probably call you a liar. But that's partly because the 2020 game went on to receive scores as low as 1 out of 10, and a rough 35% on Metacritic.

An award-winning cult-like movie franchise it is—but a worthy video game series it most definitely is not. And thanks to Slightly Mad Studios, this was shown first-hand with the god-awful Fast & Furious Crossroads game that launched a couple of years back.

Fast-forward two years, and Bandai Namco is just about ready to wipe its hands with it. On April 29, wouldn't you believe, the game will be stripped for parts, meaning all digital storefronts will abandon the game altogether.

According to the devs…

“All product sales will end on: April 29th, 2022 [at] 4am CEST. If you bought the game digitally it will remain in your library and can be redownloaded in the future,” the statement on the game's website reads. “Any DLCs purchased before April 29, 2022 will still be available to use after this date. The game's online modes will also remain active.”

To be fair, it seems like a natural decision for Bandai. After all, with pretty horrific reviews from both fans of the series and top-shelf critics, it does seem like the best move going forward. But let us not forget that there are still plenty of quality alternatives on the market. They're just not, you know, related to Fast & Furious.

As mentioned, you can still purchase Fast & Furious Crossroads on all major platforms up until April 29th. After that, you'll have to get your kicks elsewhere.

But anyway, what's your take? Are you able to sing the game's praises in any way, shape or form? Let us know over on our socials here or down in the comments below.
