Developed by “Interior/Night” and soon to be published by “Xbox Game Studios,” “As Dusk Falls” will be on the following platforms some time in 2021: “Xbox Series X/S,” “Xbox One,” and “Windows 10.” With that knowledge, you may also like to know that it was confirmed that “As Dusk Falls” will not be on PS5 (PlayStation 5). Just do not expect to hear the news of the game being playable on PS5. This game was described as being like the interactive drama and action-adventure, “Heavy Rain” and “Until Dawn.”

Story:

In an original interactive drama from the London-based studio, “Interior/Night” explore the twisted lives of two families with three decades of secrets (in small town Arizona). It all started in 1999 where there was a robbery gone wrong. This is a story about betrayal, resilience, and sacrifice and the choices you make has a powerful impact on the characters’ lives.

Gameplay:

The visual style is a mixture of 2D and 3D crossroads between a graphic novel and film (because of the camera work). The camera angles should give you a feeling like you are partly playing a video game in a film at times and development team focuses on the characters’ most subtle facial expressions.

On “Xbox.com,” the Founder and Creative Director of “Interior/Night” covers the making of “As Dusk Falls.” Because of the scope of the story they are writing and complexity of the craft, “Interior/Night” gets inspiration from television and novels more than films. Some television shows that are an inspiration to the developing team are “True Detective,” “The Wire,” “The Americans,” etc.

They are looking into true crime documentaries “because there are a great mirror for human soul…” While the development team spends some serious time incorporating realistic human behaviors and motivations into “As Dusk Falls,” you are more likely to be educated and fascinated. Relatable scenarios will be placed in the game where it may not have happened to you, but it likely happened to someone you know.
