Epic Games has some good news for lovers of Fortnite's building mode. Queues for Fortnite's iconic building feature were briefly disabled as part of the game's most recent season, which launched on March 20th. The developer of Fortnite has since reactivated the feature.

Building has been a crucial part of the Battle Royale experience since it allowed players to battle for advantageous spots. Without it, the emphasis was on movement and gunplay.

Those playing ordinary Fortnite matches, on the other hand, will see that the building has returned. Fortnite announced the news on Twitter, saying, “Building is back – play your way! Sprint, climb and smash your way to a Victory Royale whether you choose to build up in Fortnite Battle Royale or go no-builds in the new Fortnite Zero Build.”

Last week, the developers introduced the Zero Build mode as a permanent addition. This mode allowed players to get right into matches without having to build anything. Zero Build compensates for the lack of pop-up cover by giving players a rechargeable overshield. The overshield allowed players to take damage without losing any health or shields. Standard and Zero Build queues are currently accessible for Solo, Duo, Trios, and Squad battle royale warfare.

In addition, Epic Games included climbing and a faster sprint to compensate for the lack of building in the game. The additional features were just the latest in a long line of mobility-related updates.

Harvesting materials and building defensive facilities have long been defining features of Fortnite. This feature helped to set it apart from rival battle royale games like PUBG and Apex Legends, so its temporary withdrawal was all the more unexpected.

Epic Games, the company behind Fortnite, has pledged to donate all of its profits from the game's current season to humanitarian efforts in Ukraine through April 3rd. The campaign has raised more than $100 million as of March 29th.

What’s your take? What do you think of the return of the Building feature in Fortnite’s regular mode? Let us know over on our socials here or down in the comments below.
