Did you just hear about what happened? Finally, there is a Mercedes Benz most of us can afford and I am not talking about “Hot Wheels.” “Media Molecule” is collaborating with “Mercedes-Benz” all for the idea: “Let’s imagine futures together.” On July 8, 2021, you will be able to play the collaboration, which will be released under the title, “Dreams and Mercedes-Benz.” Further more, the collaboration will continue with a game jam around the theme “Imagined Futures.” This theme will run in the game as what is called a Community Jam, from July 13 to July 28, 2021. What we know is the hyped up title will be on “PS4 (PlayStation 4)” and “PS5 (PlayStation 5).”

Dreams - Mercedes-Benz Collaboration Teaser | PS5, PS4

Back in 2019, the project began at the “Mercedes and SXSW’s me Convention,” which is a lifestyle festival and future lab. The collaboration of “Dreams and Mercedes” should bring us a narrative-based 2D platform where artificial intelligence do all of the stressful jobs. “Ooh la la!” While robots rule the world, humans can just relax and live out their dreams.

Siobhan Reddy (Media Molecule’s Studio Director) said, “The best collaborations are those that result in something new, unexpected, and exciting.” This is one game you just may have to put on your bucket list.

What We Expect:

  • Since there is a a trailer telling us that we can collaborate with others, perhaps there is a multiplayer mode and/or a way to interact with an online community.
  • We expect to see luxury and commercial automobiles. What we really want is to see an extensive collection of the Mercedes Benz, German automobile brand.

While I could bring up how I fantasize the entire game will look based off of the beautiful trailer, only time will tell how the finished product is. When you look at the trailer, maybe you once again get the vibes from the inspiration “Sim’s” series, where you can buy, purchase, and upgrade items. So far, that is the style that “Dreams and Mercedes-Benz” appears like.
