It is now official that a sequel to Call of Duty: Warzone will be released with Modern Warfare 2 later this year. Despite not having an official release date for Warzone 2, the CoD community eagerly awaits its arrival. The majority of information regarding the game is still unofficial. Fans must, therefore, rely on leaks for any new information about Call of Duty: Warzone.

Tom Henderson, a CoD leaker who has published facts on Warzone and yearly installments, has provided the latest details. He shared a picture of the map layout for Warzone 2 on Twitter and confirmed that several of the game's most popular points of interest would be making a comeback.

Henderson also makes a passing mention of swimming, which would make sense to include. Although Warzone 2 is set in a coastal environment, he stated that swimming would be a key component. Treyarch's Call of Duty games have incorporated swimming in online play since Black Ops 3. So its inclusion in Call of Duty: Warzone wouldn't be surprising.

He also hinted at the new map's layout, with a drawing next to a Call of Duty: Vanguard disc used as a drink coaster. The map shows the Airport in the east, the Quarry in the northwest, and the Caves and Modern City in the middle. The news will be exciting to gamers who adored Verdansk and hoped it might return.

Even though fans should treat all rumors with a dose of skepticism, Henderson has shown to be accurate multiple times. He has appropriately anticipated the features of Call of Duty, Battlefield, and Star Wars: Eclipse before. Despite his impeccable track record, we cannot guarantee the accuracy of these leaks. The rumors remain unconfirmed until Activision or Infinity Ward formally announces Warzone 2.
