Call of Duty: Vanguard was one of the biggest releases in 2021. And just like several other Call of Duty titles, Vanguard had a rather bumpy launch. The overpowered shotguns, random terrible spawns, and the chaotic Das Haus made an action-packed (and frustrating) first week.
Lately, players have been complaining about awkward spawns in Paradise. Players complained they spawned right next to their enemies. Another frustrating spawn caused players to fall through the map.
But you can finally bid most of the issues adieu, as the publishers are working actively to eliminate the problems. In response to the community feedback, Sledgehammer Games has released a patch to address the issues. An “invisible collision” has also been added to counter the spawn trapping.
Changes to Perks, Zombies, and More
Along with the spawning issue, Sledgehammer Games have also tinkered with the perks. They have enhanced the Cold Blooded perk. The perk will now shield you against the dogs via Killstreak. The Fortified perk can now shield you against gammon bombs, satchel charges, mortar barrages, Flamenaut explosions, War machines, and a bunch of other stuff. However, the perk will no longer be effective against fire bombs, glide bombs, Goliath, and direct launcher strikes.
The Vanguard Zombies mode has also received some minor changes. The Ring of Fire will now deal consistent damage. The upgraded version will now won't cause damage to zombies that are above or below the ring. They also addressed the Artifact charging problem.
Meanwhile, for some players, the Subsonic disabled the Ghost abruptly. The “Summoning” reticle was not visible in the Gunsmith loadout. These two, and some other weapons and attachments problems, have been resolved in the update.
Other than this, they have made some minor UI, VFX, and private match bug fixes.
