BLAST Premier 2020 is in full swing with first announcements from the organizers – RFRSH Entertainment. So far, we know of 12 teams that will compete in this most prestigious CS: GO tournament. Read on to find out who they are.

What is BLAST?

BLAST is the biggest esports event in the world that focuses on CS: GO. For the last few years, many BLAST Pro Series events have been organized all over the world, with great results. The last one was finished just a few days ago, by a spectacular win from the team Astralis.

RFRSH Entertainment has decided to step it up with BLAST Premier, which offers a bigger prize pool of $4, 250, 000. This was announced at the beginning of September, and we have finally found out what teams will be participating in it. They will be battling for the main prize of 1 million dollars.

Who Will Be Participating?

For now, fan-favorite teams like Astralis, Team Liquid, and Natus Vincere have been confirmed. Furthermore, we have Evil Geniuses, FaZe Clan, Team Vitality, and MiBr. The list continues with G2, 100 Thieves, and  Ninjas in Pyjamas. Surprisingly, Complexity will also take a chance, as they have recently finalized their roster. Lastly, we have OG esportswho has just recently become a part of competitive CS: GO scene and have yet to leave an impression.

Teams announced for BLAST 2020 Premier

It is going to get hairy in Spring

What To Expect From Blast 2020 Premier

This tournament will work out in a way similar to ESL's PRO League. The teams will be split into 3 groups of four, and each group will battle on a different week. Two teams in each group that score the most points will move towards finals, while others will fight for the better placements in the BLAST Showdown. The Showdown will feature additional 4 teams and the top 2 will go to the Spring Finals. The same process will repeat in the Fall Season.

BLAST Is Changing The Gaming Scene

Commenting on this, the CEO of Team Vitality has shared the following: “BLAST came to all of the teams with a proposition that is set to transform the industry. We believe the BLAST approach of producing best in class entertainment will continue to attract large new audiences …”.

BLAST Premier 2020 will kick-off with a Studio Series set in London, in early Spring. The organization has yet to release the full schedule and list of locations.
