4. Ghostwire: Tokyo
Next on our list, we have one of the most graphically intensive and artistically interesting games on our list. Ghostwire: Toyko not only has a unique approach to the game's combat but the way that it approaches the game's world as well. Full of mystical and spiritual elements, this game blurs the lines between fantasy and reality quite often. However, it does this in such a way that feels natural and truly immerses the player in the experience itself.
The RPG elements of this game are really strong, featuring many upgrade trees for players to use. The player is equipped with magical powers that can all be tuned and upgraded to the player's liking. This goes a long way in supporting player agency and making every playthrough of the game itself feels unique. Now add to this fact that the world of the game feels so natural and supernatural at the same time, and you have a winning combination. To close, Ghostwire: Toyko is a title that we cannot wait to release on Xbox Series X|S in April 2023.
3. Dead Island 2
Our next entry on this list. is one that has built up an immense amount of hype. Dead Island 2 is a sequel to the fantastic Dead Island. This title has a lot to live up to. The game appears to vary its enemy types, solving one of the major gripes with the first title. This is great and shows that the developers are applying lessons learned in the development of the first game in the sequel. This time around, there are three different variants of enemies that you will be facing. Each of these types poses its own unique challenge to the player.
First, there are the Infected. These seem to be your more run-of-the-mill zombies that players will be familiar with. Next, there are Apex enemies. There poses a significantly larger threat to player survival. This section of enemies includes everything from Screamers and Busters and many other unique enemies. Finally, we have the Variant types, which are essentially hybrids with their own abilities unique to them or borrowed from other enemies. So if you like us, and enjoy fighting the Infected, be on the lookout for Dead Island 2 when it releases on April 21st, 2023.
2. Minecraft Legends
Minecraft is a series that needs little to no introduction. The fantastic creative tool, as well as a stunning adventure game, is one that has achieved immense popularity. However, its newest iteration, Minecraft Legends, seeks to change up the formula quite a bit while retaining what makes these games special. For starters, Minecraft Legends will have more of an emphasis on both strategy and combat. Players will be able to fight it out either with AI enemies or amongst their friends. This is sure to go a long way in ensuring the longevity of the game, as players can play in a multitude of ways.
This is great, as it applies the massive amount of adaptability of Minecraft into a more focused multiplayer space. Players will be able to build defenses and fortresses and much more. It is hoped that this new direction will retain many of the elements that make Minecraft such a lovable series. So if you, like us, are looking forward to the release of Minecraft Legends coming soon on April 18th, 2023, definitely check out this title on the Xbox Series X|S.
