There are many different games for this console that differ in the experience that they give players. So if you have been curious about what the best the console offers this year is, we have you covered. Here are our picks for the Best Xbox One Games of 2022, Ranked.

5. Slime Rancher 2

Slime Rancher 2 is a delightful title about reaching slimes. Players will be able to capture various different slimes and learn about them. These slimes all come with their own quirks and personalities, which adds to the game's charm. Players will be in charge of what these slimes eat and how they interact with one another. That makes it imperative that you keep your slimes contained within your conservatory.

Along your journey, you will encounter all types of different slimes and see how they interact in the wild. Once you have captured your slimes, however, it is time to profit from your efforts. Players will be able to gather Plorts from their slimes and convert this resource into currency in order to upgrade their conservatory and other items. So if you are the type of player that enjoys games where you collect creatures, then this game will be right up your alley. In conclusion, Slime Rancher 2  takes the lessons that it learned from the first game and streamlines the experience to make it more enjoyable for the player.

4. A Plague's Tale: RequiemEssential Games Coming to PS5 october

A Plague's Tale: Requiem is a story-driven game that offers players an experience they won't forget anytime soon. This narrative-driven action-adventure game certainly leaves an impression on anyone who plays it. The game is full of frights and teen moments that require you to rely on stealth combat in order to stay alive. Additionally, players are actively running away from Inquisitors, making them rather formidable foes if you don't know how to evade them. The reason as to why you are running away in the first place is to cure your brother Hugo's disease.

Along the way, you will be met with much resistance and have to contend with armored opponents and many other obstacles. You must stay in well-lit areas within this game, as if you wander into the darkness, you will be consumed by plague-ridden rats. The progression system within this game has been improved and allows for more versatility on the player's part. For example, if you prefer a stealthy approach, then the game accommodates that, same goes for more combative methods. Overall, A Plague's Tale: Requiem is an excellent title for those seeking one of the best story-driven games on the Xbox One in 2022.

3. Tunic

Tunic is a game that serves as a love letter to fans of classic dungeon crawlers. The game is very reminiscent of the more classic Legend of Zelda titles in how it presents its gameplay. For example, many of the adventuring mechanics are similar to games of the past. This makes for a great trip down memory lane for those nostalgic for that era of game design. In addition, there are many secrets that lie throughout the world of Tunic, a practice that has essentially been phased out of game design over the years.

In closing, Tunic is a game that harkens back to the games of old and reminds us that perhaps we have lost something along the way. Players who are fond of the early days of game design will absolutely love this title. At the same time, the story can be difficult to understand. With most of the dialogue in another language, the hero's story is universal and can easily be understood through the gameplay. The game also features puzzles with a moderate amount of challenge, which is nice to see as many puzzles have become very easy to solve with the advent of the Internet. Tunic is a modern classic and serves as a reminder of a bygone era of game design.

2. Overwatch 2

Overwatch 2, in many ways, improves upon its predecessor. The game has gone from a 6v6 MOBA to a 5v5, giving more focus to the team play overall. The hero design has also shifted from a more attrition-based system to now there exists a skill-based system that places more weight on the shoulders of the individual player. Long gone are the battles over payloads with two tanks soaking up an entire team fights worth of damage. Instead, now the game highly rewards focus fire.

If you can isolate the squishier targets on your opponent's team, it is much easier to take them out. In contrast, some may argue that this makes the game too fast-paced. Many would prefer it over the slower playstyle of two-tank Overwatch. Overall, Overwatch 2 has taken the lessons learned from the first game to heart. Changing the experience accordingly, making it one of the best games you can play on the Xbox One in 2022.

1. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare IICall of Duty Modern Warfare II review

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is a fantastic return to form. The Call of Duty franchise, with its myriad of yearly releases that differ in quality from year to year, has proven that this entry is here to stay.  Modern Warfare II takes many of the best elements of past games and improves upon them significantly. In addition, the map design has improved since the last game in the series, which has garnered praise from fans.

With the game having a free-to-play component in Warzone, this has served as a fantastic marketing tool for the game. This year it seems that developers Infinity Ward are committed to listening to the community and making the best Call of Duty they can. This game features a more varied campaign and improvements to the multiplayer formula that, to some, had grown stale. In closing, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is one of the most solid games for the Xbox One in 2022.
