Best Improvements in Minecraft Legends

Minecraft Legends

In the eyes of Mojang Studios’ Minecraft, there isn’t anything a good old-fashioned hammer and chisel can’t fix. Minecraft Legends is another story, though, as it utilizes a system that’s slightly more complex. It’s called the Well of Fate, and what it does is provide you with a catalog of Improvements, which is another way of saying perks that not only have the power to boost your attributes, but the world around you as you sludge through the campaign. Quite advantageous, all things considered.

Improvements come in all shapes and sizes, and can be unlocked by simply dumping the required amount of resources into the Well of Fate. Question is, with your kingdom forever on the verge of collapse under the trotters of those blasted Piglins, which of the available upgrades should you look to obtain first? Well, here’s how we’d slate the best of the best in all of Minecraft Legends.

5. Allay Storage

Anyone in their right mind would only want to increase their carry capacity in a resource-building game like Minecraft. Just as well, because Minecraft Legends actually has a perk that lets you do just that. With Allay Storage under your belt, you will have plenty of additional storage space for all your tools and assets as you work towards the objectives dished out by the game’s overheads. And that’s something you’ll want to obtain as early on as possible, as it’ll boost not only your Wood and Stone capacity, but your Lapis, Prismarine, and Gold, too.

It goes without saying that the Allay Storage Improvement is hands down one of the best entry-level upgrades available. It’s also one of the easiest to acquire, what with it being in store for only 100 Stone, 100 Prismarine, and 10 Gold. So, before looking to expand on the Well of Fate, be sure to dump all your initial resources into the Allay Storage node. It’ll save your skin later down the line, that’s for sure.

4. Banner & Flames of Creation

The Banner and Flames of Creation Improvements compliment one another remarkably well, and should be obtained as soon as you have the resources to share. The Banner, in short, is a flag that lets you gather and control a set amount of units; each new extension to this grants you permission to rally an additional 15 mobs. The only thing that counters this is the amount of mobs you can actually spawn out on the battlefield. Fortunately, this is where Flames of Creation comes into play — an Improvement that lets you call out more mobs.

As you begin your journey in Minecraft Legends, your banner radius will be relatively short, and your spawn capacity will only reach a maximum of 10 mobs. Increasing both the Banner and Flames of Creation will not only boost your radius, but let you draw on an entire army of allied mobs. So, if you’re looking to succeed in numbers, then there’s no doubt about it — unlocking these two Improvements is crucial. You can boost your troupe with 400 Stone, 400 Prismarine, and 100 Gold at the Well of Fate.

3. Shared Village Chests

Once you’ve managed to gain a foothold on the Piglin monopoly, you’ll come to find that pillaging local villages is one of the best ways to obtain a few additional resources. What’s more, thanks to each village housing a shared treasure chest smack-bang in their centers, successful raids can reward you with a surplus of items. The only downside to this is that, well, you’ll have to venture back and forth between villages to collect your accumulated gifts. That is, unless you’ve acquired the Shared Village Chests Improvement — a node that essentially combines every chest into a single convenient location.

It makes sense, that you would want to collect your resources without having to undertake any unwanted legwork. Having said that, such a luxury does come at a cost, though it’s also one of the best Improvements you can get get in the entire game, too. Swings and roundabouts, basically. You can get your hands on the upgrade for a total of 100 Stone, 100 Prismarine, 25 Iron, 25 Coal, 25 Diamond, and 25 Redstone.

2. Gather ‘Resource’

It’s only natural that you’d want to harvest more of any one particular resource — especially if you’re planning on building even sturdier structures. To do this, you will need to upgrade the Gather ‘Resource’ Improvement, which will increase your carry capacity by 150 with each new installment. The only caveat to this is that you’ll have to upgrade each type of resource, as opposed to a single Improvement that doubles every resource in one go. A bit of a pain, sure, but it’s definitely worth the extra mileage.

Again, you’ll come to learn which of the game’s various buildings and fortifications are best suited to your play style as you progress deeper and deeper into the campaign. Knowing this, and which type of resource you need to harvest, will help course you towards the appropriate Improvement at the Well of Fate. You can purchase these upgrades for as little as 100 Stone, and 100 Prismarine.

1. Expert Mason

While it isn’t humanly possible to remain in one place at all times, it is possible to move about and have a passive ability to do your dirty laundry when you’re not at home. In other words, the Expert Mason Improvement, which is another way of having your wooden walls gradually turn into stone without your guidance or permission. So, while you’re out gathering resources for additional fortifications, the in-house mason will essentially do your work for you — leaving you to wallow out on the frontline tending to other matters.

Granted, the Masonry and the Expert Mason Improvement can be somewhat costly. That said, if you’re invested in the game’s PvP, then you’ll definitely want to do all in your power to maximize your perimeter defenses to help boost your advantage in battle. You can book your Expert Mason for 200 Stone, 200 Prismarine, and 50 Gold. Again, costly — but certainly worth obtaining at your earliest convenience.
