1. Dauntlesss
Dauntless is like Monster Hunter light, stripped of the complexity but utterly rewarding. The game features an addictive combat dynamic and a world that just begs for exploration. It proved the old saying that less is sometimes more by not bombarding you with 100 new things constantly. The result is expertly delivered RPG that is oh so very rewarding.
Available on: Xbox One, PS4, PC
2. The Division 2
For anyone who's missed it, Division 2 is the newest game from Tom Clancy's arsenal. This is a shared-world shooter that expertly combines action and RPG elements and offers a ton of activities to do in Washington, D.C. We were hooked by a campaign mode that had lots of memorable adrenaline-infused missions.
Available on: Xbox One, PC, PS4
3. Planet Zoo
Planet Zoo is a new simulator game from the makers of Planet Coaster, which offered even more fun and put our creativity to a test. Each animal in the game feels alive and has a distinct set of features that come into play. Beware though, you can easily lose your track of time as possibilities are nearly endless. If you decide to bite, Planet Zoo will offer you breathtaking graphics and rewarding gameplay.
Available on: PC
4. The Outer Worlds
The Outer Worlds feels like an interesting blend of Star Wars: KOTOR and Fallout 3, with its own unique spin. The game offers multiple ways in which to deal with every situation, which adds to the replay value. Add to this an excellent dose of dark humor, and you got a great RPG that won't leave our room anytime soon.
Available on: Switch, PC, PS4, Xbox One
5. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
Sekiro is yet another in line of frustratingly difficult games from FromSoftware in the vein of Bloodborne and Dark Souls. But, it is also much more than that. It's fresh and rich combat dynamic and the immersive world will test you every step of the way of this 70-hour adventure. We've rarely felt something as satisfying as a well-timed parry that renders enemies helpless as we deliver the deathly blow. Hard but rewarding, Sekiro successfully threads the ground established by the Dark Souls series and gives it it's own spin.
The visual style is, at times, incredibly poeticAvailable on: PC, PS4, Xbox One
6. Resident Evil 2
It's been years since Resident Evil game had this sort of atmosphere. This remake put us back in the shoes of Claire and Leon as we try to escape from the Racoon City. Tension in this game seems unbearable at the time, as you run away from indestructible Mr.X in search of a few bullets and green herbs. This is truly a survival game, as there is never enough ammo and you rarely feel safe. This remake of perhaps the best game of RE series delivered everything we liked in original, and took it a step further. Resident Evil 3 remake is also just around the corner, and we hope that Capcom can deliver the same feeling of despair once again.
Available on: PS4, Xbox One, PC
7. Kingdom Hearts 3
We've waited for this sequel far too long, and we are glad to say that it delivered. Square really outdid themselves in presenting us with a mesmerizing blend of various worlds that were created by Disney. The game reunites us with many of the old characters in new ways. While offering certain elements of nostalgia, Kingdom Hearts 3 was definitely a beautiful conclusion to the long-lasting franchise.
Available on: Xbox One, PS4
8. Control
Control is a game in which all of Remedy's potential came out fully realized. Interesting fighting dynamic blended excellently with adventurous aspects and a strong storyline. Even after the game was done, we have found that the Oldest House still contained plenty of secrets, so starting all over felt like a natural thing to do.
Available on: Xbox One, PC, PS4
