Animal Crossing Direct Showcase: What, Where & When?

An official Animal Crossing Direct showcase will go live on October 15th at 7 a.m. PT, giving players a complete insight into November's offerings and all the updates coming to the game throughout the year.

Announced during Nintendo Direct back in September, Nintendo made it clear that there would be a thread of new updates coming to the game, with the biggest addition being the arrival of Brewster and his quirky museum café. But other than that, Nintendo has left everything else concealed behind its upcoming live event, which will no doubt touch base on what's to come next month.

Animal Crossing Direct will last roughly 20 minutes, and will be streamed over a variety of platforms, mainly Nintendo's official YouTube channel. As for what the gaming giant will bring to the table, we won't really know until the time comes. But considering Animal Crossing: New Horizons has unfortunately been neglected these past however many months — it wouldn't surprise us if Nintendo had a barrel of juicy updates to help resurrect its status. But of course, we'll just have to cross our fingers on that one.

What's on the horizon?

The fact is, Nintendo has actually acknowledged their shallow behaviour when it comes to Animal Crossing. With little to no updates coming to the game these days, they themselves have made promises to help rebuild the game. And considering New Horizons is the highest selling chapter in the series to date — a few new updates definitely wouldn't go amiss, either.

Whatever happens, it'll be great to see Nintendo finally breathing new life into New Horizons. What will come of it is another story. A story that, honestly, we'll cross when we get to it. Until then, we'll just remain thankful for the updates.

Animal Crossing Direct goes live on October 15th at 7 a.m. PT / 10 a.m. ET. You can stream the event on the day here. We'll be covering whatever Nintendo has to say shortly after the curtain falls.
