Alan Wake 2 October 2023 Launch Looking Likely

Alan Wake 2, one of Remedy Entertainment's most sought after video game sequels, has finally reached a fully playable state, and is now heading for a definite 2023 launch.

Ever since Remedy Entertainment first lifted the veil on the spooky sequel to 2010's overshadowed standalone horror game, not a great deal has come to light. Or at least, not a whole lot more than a brief preview outlining the return of the titular protagonist and a whole bunch of creepy landmarks and what have you. But that's about it, which has, at least for the most part, led us to believe that it won't be arriving anytime in the near future.

Anyway, as it turns out, Alan Wake 2 is now in a “fully playable” state, meaning the entire story is accessible from beginning to end, and needs only a bit of polish to finalize the product. With that, we can expect to see Alan Wake 2—its launch date announcement, in particular—hit the social feeds pretty soon.

When Is Alan Wake 2 Coming Out?

Of course, the actual release window is still unknown, though given the fact that the remastered version of the first game released in October 2021 on consoles and PC, and then again in October 2022 for Switch, it does give us reason to believe that the sequel will be arriving in a similar fashion. We can't say for certain or anything, but if we had to put our money on it, then we'd say October 2023 is looking the most plausible.

Whatever the case, you can keep tabs on the sequel by following the official social feed here. If anything new pops up, we'll be sure to spill all the details right here on gaming.net.
