5 Male Video Game Characters That Are Great Dads

A father is a male who has begotten a child, but being a dad takes a lifetime. There seems to be no breaks while being a full-time dad, constantly keeping a close eye on your children, making sure they know what they are doing, and if they are unscathed. Many fathers provide their youngsters with a feeling of physical and emotional security and the discipline a father can give, is ongoing, where the spitting image of them, often reflects in their upbringing. Here are 5 male video game characters that are great dads.

5.  John Marston (Red Dead Redemption):

In exchange for the safe return of his family, the warlike John Marston, is on a mission to hunt down the last surviving members of his old gang. Why was John Marston in a gang to begin with, if he thought about the future of his family? John’s rebellious past came to hunt him, but he will do whatever it takes to protect his family.

4. Ethan Mars (Heavy Rain):

After suffering from the death of his son, Jason, in a car accident, his life has been turned upside down. Lightning rarely strikes in the same place twice, but his second son, Shaun, was kidnapped, causing more psychological damage. Now, Ethan Mars is on the hunt for the Origami Killer, to save his son. Arguably, Ethan Mars is also one of the worst dads in video games, for not fully protecting his children to begin with.

3. Bowser (Super Mario):

Whether it is playing sports, go-karting, or watching his son in his work to conquer the Mushroom Kingdom, Bowser takes time out of his day to bond with Bowser Jr. Besides being an evil dragon and Bowser Jr. sharing the same traits, the father-son relationship is beautiful.

2. Joel Miller (The Last of Us):

Whether it is a father-son or father-daughter relationship, the leading role of raising a child remains at an all-time high. In The Last of Us, Joel Miller (a survivor of a post-apocalyptic America) has a 12-year-old daughter named Sarah Miller, was lost because of a CBI Outbreak, which also known as the Cordyceps Brain Infection. There is no ideal place to lose your children, but to lose a child during an outbreak, would have any sane parent traumatized. Losing his only daughter made Joel a ruthless and cynical smuggler.

Sarah was on the youth soccer team and won an individual award in a game/tournament. That is an early accomplishment to be proud of your child about. She also participated in hiking and skateboarding, sharing Joel’s sense of humor.

Just like Ellie (Sarah’s mom), Sarah is mature for her age. Because Sarah has an Honor Roll certificate and another academic award, hanged above her computer in her room, it can be said that, “She has an above-average intelligence.”
