Updated on

Gaming often is a world that can be massive in scope and scale and require hours of dedication to complete. Digital domains where time invested often is a prerequisite to progress in the game. For a few titles, however, this is untrue these games can be completed with little to no effort from the player. Below is a list of 5 games that offer you a chance to complete them without actually playing. For others, it may offer a quick achievement.

5. NieR: Automata

NieR: Automata is a game that is highly praised for its gameplay and combat. Players who seek to skip to the end, however, will obtain one of the game's many endings and will find it relatively easy to do so. At the same time, this shortcut to the credits does require a bit of gameplay on the part of the player. Following this short gameplay section, however, you will be able to enjoy the T ending, one of NieR: Automata‘s many endings.

As to how the ending is unlocked it is rather simple. Rather than having the player enter some code or have a convoluted excuse to end the game. Players only need to remove the OS operating chip from their inventory as soon as they can access it during the opening of the game. This can be done shortly after the debri dodging section. Doing so will result in a rolling of the credits and an easy out. As far as unlocked endings go, it doesn't get any simpler than this. So if players are eager to miss out on the rest of a critically acclaimed title and just want an ending, we've got you covered.

4. We Happy Few

We Happy Few is a strikingly artful and demented dystopia that you can beat without actually playing. Editing out the horrors or unpleasant realities of life, Responsible for deciding what content is redacted from past newspaper articles. If you want to skip the insanity of this title. And simply just want to keep your Joy intact it is simple to do so.

All that needs to be done is the player needs to choose to initially take the Joy when the player is offered the choice. This can be achieved at the beginning of the game. Doing so will change the world around the player to be more Joy-filled and ensures the events of the game never occur. So if you want to miss out on the insanity that is We Happy Few, you will find it simple to do. Players who choose to take the Joy and end the game early, however, will receive the “Snug as a Bug on a Drug” achievement.

3. Saints Row 4

Saints Row 4 is an example of just how insane the franchise can get. Taking on the wanton destruction and mayhem of the Grand Theft Auto series. Succeeding in turning it up a notch in the zany department. While many of the decisions of the game revolve around what chaos one can cause. There is a way to gain ultimate control over this game world. Offered the choice of killing themselves to save humanity players must become a sacrifice to achieve this achievement.

More pacifistic players, however, may choose not to cause random destruction to their hearts' content which is where this ending comes in handy. Allowing for an early end to the game if players choose to kill themselves, it will trigger the end credits with some pretty hilarious surprises. So if players want to exit this enticing entry in the Saints Row series, here's an easy way how. When given the option to hop through the portal and kill yourself to save Earth do so. That's it, achievement unlocked.

2. The Stanley Parable

The Stanley Parable is a game full of dry humor and many contingencies that you can beat without actually playing. With so many paths to walk down as you play as Stanley and are berated by the narrator. How can a game like this choose to innovate? How could it possibly create a way out that leaves the player surprised and yet rewarded? The answer is simple, Do nothing. Players can choose to just stand still in Stanley's office. Doing so for a long enough period of time will trigger the game over condition and unlock an achievement.

While this may be a simple way of receiving such an achievement, one must marvel at it's simplicity. Players who choose to do this will have to follow these simple steps. Players must keep the game running for 24 hours to receive the Commitment achievement. This can be done legitimately or sneakily. Certain players have discovered that there is an easier way to gain the achievement. This uses their PC's ability to change time. The 5 Years achievement is rewarded to players who haven't played the game in 5 years Congratulations.

1. Farcry 5

Far Cry 5 is a masterfully crafted open world with a range of relatable and enthralling characters that you can beat without actually playing. Evident by the player being seduced by the ramblings of the game's main antagonist and Father of The Family, Joseph Seed. Far Cry 5 succeeds in creating a villain that, while not likable, is very captivating. And players do not have to experience a single bit of it if they so choose. Players can instead choose to do nothing when asked to cuff the cult leader.

Doing so will result in an achievement unlocked as well as the end of the game. The Far Cry series has been famous for its endings that require nothing of the player since Far Cry 4. In which, players wait around long enough for Pagan Min to return. This introduced the concept of the “afk” ending to the Far Cry games.
