5 Facts About Cyberpunk 2077 Some People Do Not Know

In the open world action-adventure video game, Cyberpunk 2077, legitimate city planners were hired to help map out Night City, making it the most lived-in cities ever made for a video game. The name Night City is inspired by the works of William Gibson (the author of the 1974 novel, Neuromancer, where he coined the terms Cyberpunk and Cyberspace. 

Sharks are extinct in the world of Cyberpunk 2077. A world without sharks does not mean the end of the world. The extinction of sharks would definitely prevent the fear of shark attacks, but worry more about the ruined ecosystem or better yet, do not worry. Do not worry because you will play as V or Miss V, (a mercenary outlaw and customizable character) searching for an implant bringing immortality. The existence of human life, in Antarctica is considered impossible, but in Cyberpunk 2077, it only took until the year 2067, for this to happen. In 2077, the world of Cyberpunk has plans of constructing a high-speed intercontinental railway network, connecting all of the cities of the United States (all by the year 2078).

5. A Predicted War: 

Reported in the year 2080, by an AI analytics software, there is a prediction that the New United States and the Free States will go to war. With this valuable information, would a wise person try stopping a war or getting a head start in the war? 

4. Cyberpunk 2077 Was Not Written In English First: 

The first language Cyberpunk 2077 was written in was Polish. Yes. Cyberpunk 2077 took 7 years to develop and English was not the first language the video game was written in.

Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz (the Quest Director at CD Projekt Red) said “Every time we work on our game (…), we prepare the Polish version first. All our writers are Polish. Then we have a team responsible for adaptation of dialogs into English. We start from Polish, and move from that.”

The game is based on a pen and paper RPG (role-playing game). The RPG was developed in 1988, originally called Cyberpunk 2020, and still is available today (in paper and digital forms).

Cyberpunk 2077 is actually a much smaller world than The Witcher 3, but is more extensive.

Keanu Reeves is a non-playable character in Cyberpunk 2077, named Johnny Silverhand (a digital ghost). Johnny will assist you on your missions and some fans went as far as trying to be romantic with the non-playable character. That means, they flirted with an in-game digital ghost.
