5 Easy 1000G/Platinum Games You Can Beat Right Now

Updated on

If you, like us, enjoy an easy platinum that can be obtained without having to lift so much as a finger, then join the club. Sure, we're all for putting in the hours to claw for the lengthy achievements and trophies and what have you, but there comes a time when all we really crave is an easy and forgiving challenge. And that's usually around the time we resort to flicking through Game Pass and PlayStation Now for an afternoon indie or twelve.

Whatever it is you're after, know that there are plenty of alternatives on the market that practically give their platinums away. So, if you're trying to one-up your buddy on Xbox before the month resets and your back to even-stevens, or just trying to boost your PlayStation cabinet for the fun of it, then be sure to check out these five easy titles.

5. A Memoir Blue

A MEMOIR BLUE | Launch Trailer

A Memoir Blue is a brand new story-driven experience that tells the tale of a young woman and her loose connection with her mother. Although its heartwarming tale is barely pushing sixty minutes in length, it is still perhaps one of the most genuinely enjoyable narratives on the modern radar. And the best part is—it can be completed, trophies and achievements included, in a single playthrough.

As beautiful as the story is in A Memoir Blue, we can't help but acknowledge the ridiculously easy achievements that it holds dear. But thankfully, you can go ahead and slide them from its palm without having to go through too much effort. And as for the goals you have to complete in order to beat it from cover-to-cover, well, there's nothing exactly technical involved. In fact, it's more the case of knowing how to hurl ice cubes out of glass. That is really the only challenge you'll find here.

4. Gone Home

Gone Home - Console Launch Trailer

There isn't a great deal of complexity enveloped within Gone Home, to be fair. It's more the case of rummaging around your old family home, examining family heirlooms, and piecing together a story of romance and heartbreak. And that's basically it, give or take a few minor puzzles and lengthy script passages.

The only tough achievement you'll come across in Gone Home is the one that asks for you to beat the game in less than two minutes. But after a single session with the game, you'll come to realize that the story can, in fact, be stormed through in mere moments. And so, keep this one in mind the next time you're on the hunt for a super quick platinum.

3. What Remains of Edith Finch

What Remains of Edith Finch - House Introduction Trailer | PS4

Ah yes, another exploration game. What Remains of Edith Finch doesn't deviate all that much from Gone Home‘s basic premise. It's just the case of knowing where to look next as you wade through memory after memory in an old family estate. But other than that, the game itself is incredibly basic, and it really only requires your attention as you swipe for the platinum.

On a good day, you can beat What Remains of Edith Finch in less than two hours. Earning the platinum, on the other hand, may take a second sitting. Though, it all depends on your speed and ability to acknowledge the unorthodox. If you have a good eye for detail, and enjoy taking a few extra moments to analyze a situation, then the crown is essentially yours for the taking.

2. The Artful Escape

The Artful Escape - Release Date Trailer

If you're big on psychedelic rock anthems from decades ago, then you will most definitely get a kick out of The Artful Escape. Why? Well, because the game is pretty much made up of holding down buttons to perform face-melting guitar solos. And with that, you can basically go ahead and expect a network of straightforward achievements and trophies.

As for the story itself, it's basically made up of a relatively short journey through an alternate dimension, where power metal reigns supreme. Your goal, as the somewhat conflicted folk musician, is to sail along the path of self-discovery on a music-heavy conquest through time and space. Heavy stuff, for sure. But it's essentially a few hours of holding down buttons and powersliding over rainbows and what have you.

1. The Walking Dead: Michonne

The Walking Dead: Michonne - In Too Deep Launch Trailer

To be fair, it doesn't really matter which Telltale game you pick up, because they all have similar structures. Popping achievements and trophies is as simple as playing through the story, and regardless of the choices you make along the way, you'll still bag yourself the whole lot just for sticking around long enough to see out the conclusion.

Having said that, most Telltale games will set you back upwards of ten hours, with two hours dedicated to each of the five episodes. The Walking Dead: Michonne, on the other hand, is the cakewalk of episodic adventures. With only three episodes, and an average of five hours dedicated to the whole campaign, you can pretty much breeze through it on a Sunday afternoon. Therefore, if you're on the hunt for a quick and easy platinum with no real challenges involved, then be sure to pick up this Telltale hit.
