Starfield Gameplay Reveal

2023 looks to supplant 2022 regarding PC games. We have seen many stellar titles hit the market this year. Even older titles have been given a second chance to hit their stride in player's game libraries. That being said, 2023 seems well on its way to surpassing this year in terms of the quality of games released and the experiences they offer. So without further ado, here are our picks for 2023's Most Anticipated PC Games.

5. Persona 3

Persona 3 is a highly-anticipated title coming to the PC in 2023. This title is part of the highly-praised Persona series. PC players have been waiting to get their hands on this JRPG classic for quite some time. The game features gameplay that would go on and influence later Persona titles as well as other JRPGs as a whole. This game serves as the fourth installment in the Persona series. While initially criticized for its repetitive combat. This game has been looked at with fresh eyes and has become a title for which people have been clamoring.

Much like a later title in the Persona series, Persona 5, players must attend school during the day and deal with the game's more supernatural elements at night. This gives a break from the combat to enjoy more slice-of-life activities and things like that. At the same time, the game may be a tad older than other titles on this list. However, that is not a bash of this JRPG title's greatness. So, if you are a PC player and have been looking for a JRPG to sink your teeth into, look no further than Persona 3, one of the best PC games, when it finally releases on January 12th, 2023.

4. Redfall

5 Games You Should Play Before Redfall

Redfall is a game that is coming to give players a cooperative shooter to play in the coming year of 2023. If the released gameplay is any indication, then this game appears to be loads of fun with friends. The game takes the player and throws them into an incredibly hectic situation. In which they will have to fight off hordes of vampires to survive. These vampires aren't your stereotypical vampires that creep about; however, they are fast and come with a bevy of other powers.

Players are able to play as one of several unique characters, each with their own abilities and quirks that allows them to feel special in their own way. In addition, it would appear that this game will also let the player choose how to engage enemies. This will allow for replayability as well as more player agency. This is great for a cooperative shooter because it enables friends to tackle various problems in their way. In conclusion, Redfall appears to be a game that harkens back to co-op experiences of the p[ast to bring us what is sure to be one of the best PC games in 2023.

3. Roots of Pacha

Some have described Roots of Pacha as a Stone-Age Stardew Valley. However, I believe that minimizes just what this game offers players. This game allows players to collaborate and develop various technological advancements across their journeys. As well as befriend and ride animals. The gameplay for this game appears to be very solid and allows players to play cooperatively to work together and build up their village.

With a robust character customization system, players can truly make their characters feel unique to them. Of course, this isn't the only aspect of the game worthy of praise; however, far from it. Players can move forward in their advancements and even irrigate their crops. This is fantastic for players who like a sense of progression within their farming-sim experiences. The game also has a strong message about the resilience of such things throughout the generations. All in all, Roots of Pacha will make quite an impression when it releases as one of the most anticipated PC games in 2023.

2. Starfield

Starfield is Bethesda's highly ambitious yet highly anticipated title that is coming to PC in 2023. The game appears to be on a massive scale and features interstellar travel as one of its main features. The game may have received some criticism for its FPS mechanics. But the exploration aspects and the world all feel really fleshed out from what we can tell so far. Players will be able to encounter a myriad of strange creatures in their journeys and will be able to undertake various quests.

This open-world feel will make the game feel even more significant than it already is. The world also gives you quite a bit to do, with a robust crafting system that the developers promise will keep players busy for quite some time. Players will also be able to customize their craft to their liking, to suit their purposes, whatever they may be. To close, Starfield feels like the evolution of Bethesda's open world and is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated PC games set to release in 2023.

1. Lies of P

Lies of P is a game that appears to pull from many influences. Most notably, the Pinocchio fable. The game is presented in a dark and grim tone that will lend itself well to the creepiness of the setting. Players will be able to unravel the mystery of what is going on around the player. When they finally get their hands on the game in 2023. This game appears to have an action combat system similar to Nier: Automata. The game also seems to feature tense boss fights, which are sure to be a treat.

The combat appears to pull heavily from other various action combat titles, such as the Souls series. This means that combat will be a delicate balance of slow, deliberate, and fluid. There also appears to be a parry or counter system for players to use. Although this game may not have the massive appeal of other titles, it seems to be created with a distinct vision. It is hoped that Lies of P will live up to expectations for what it can become when it finally releases in 2023.
